Buttons and comfort
Interchangeable textured keys for W, A, S, D and 1,2,3,4
Available with blue, brown or cherry red MX keyswitches
Large removable palm rest with textured surface
HyperX Alloy Elite is a mechanical gaming keyboard with tactile keys. It is available with Cherry MX Blue, Brown or Red key switches, so you can choose the configuration that best suits your needs. We tested this gaming keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches and found keystrokes to be quieter than other mechanical keyboards we tested. These switches are also remarkably smooth and comfortable for everyday typing.
We found it to be perfect for everyday typing – smooth, comfortable and easy to use without being overwhelming when it comes to typing.
Textured titanium colored keys are included in the box for W, A, S, D and 1,2,3,4 keys. The W, A, S, D keys have a slight texture and slant that makes them easily identifiable in the heat of in-game battles.
We also liked the large, detachable palm rest with a soft touch lining, which proved to be extremely comfortable in everyday life and also helps relieve wrist fatigue during long gaming sessions.
We’ve found the Hyper X Alloy Elite to be one of the most comfortable keyboards to use for a variety of tasks, and we loved the little design additions that made a big difference. Another simple addition is the game mode button – turn off the annoying Windows key while playing which is very useful.

custom band
HyperX Alloy Elite doesn’t just sing, it dances in terms of lighting. This is an illuminated gaming keyboard, but only with a red backlight. Without additional software, it’s easy to assume that HyperX Alloy Elite doesn’t perform as well as the other keyboards on this list, but it performs surprisingly well.
The lighting is changed with a single key at the top left of the gaming keyboard. You can use this button to toggle between a handful of backlight modes, including Solid, Breath, Trigger, Burst, Wave, and Custom.
